Reading Notes:

In the woods a flock a parrots lived with their
king and queen in the cotton trees.

The king and queen grew old and their young
beautiful parrot child was a prize.
·
He offered to go get food form the fields for
his old parents and bring it back.
·
He did this every day until he found a field
that they started eating at and the farmer told the master that all the parrots
were eating his rice.
·
The farmer showed the master the beautiful
parrot and the master told him to catch him.
·
He caught him and took him to his owner and the bird told him why he took the rice
with him.
·
He let him go and they all lived happy.
